About KCSA
The Krannert Center Student Association was formed in 1969 to serve the University and the Krannert Center. In the ensuing years, the group has expanded to become one of the largest and most diverse student organizations on the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign campus. Today, our mission is to promote the performing arts on the U of I campus by providing unique volunteer opportunities for student involvement in productions at the Krannert Center. KCSA unites the center, campus, and community by celebrating the many aspects of the performing arts in a world diverse in culture and beliefs. Each year more than 300 KCSA members lead hundreds of tours, usher over 300 performances (seeing them for free), and work on backstage technical crews for numerous Krannert Center events and productions. KCSA also produces a variety of special events including: Murder Mystery Dinner; the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony; A Taste of the Arts; International Festival, A World of Culture Under One Roof; and On the Rocks, a series of student written, student directed, student acted, and student produced one-act plays under the stars in the Krannert Center Amphitheatre.
